  • What is a Notary Public?
    A public officer that is commissioned by the Secretary-of-State to perform notarial acts by administering oaths or witness signatures on legal documents. A Notary Public must act within the strict compliance of the NC statutes.
  • What is a Loan Signing Agent?
    A Loan Signing Agent also referred to as a Signing Agent is a Notary Public who has specialized training with mortgage and/or loan closing documents (Refinances, HELOCs, Purchase/Sell of Real Property, etc.).
  • How does the mobile notary service work?
    Let us know what services you need: Email or call us to let us know what document(s) you need notarized and/or if you need loan closing services. Choose a Date/Time: Let us know your preferred date and time for the appointment. Provide Location: Provide us with the specific location where the signing will take place. Complete all Documents: The document(s) requiring notarization must be completely filled out. Per our NC General Statute, Notaries are not allowed to provide legal advice, nor assist with preparing or completing legal documents. Identity Verification: On the scheduled appointment date and while at the signing location, the notary will verify the identity of all Signer(s) by requesting a valid current form of identification, such as a driver's license, passport, or state ID card (digital or photocopies can't be authenticated). Notarize/Authenticate: After the signer(s) identity is confirmed, the notary will briefly review and notarize the documents.
  • What forms of identification are acceptable to verify identity?
    A current driver's license, passport, or a state identification is always acceptable. Note: Only U.S. issued identifications are acceptable forms of ID.
  • What forms of identification are unacceptable as a primary ID to verify identity, but can be used as a secondary ID?
    Social Security card. Birth certificate. Bank card (even if it includes the cardholder's photo) Employer ID. College ID. Voter registration card. Utility bill. Any expired form of ID. (Cannot be used as a primary or secondary ID)
  • Does having my document(s) notarized, mean that a document is "true" or "legal"?
    No. Notaries are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of documents they notarize. Notaries certify the identity of Signers. The Signers are responsible for the content of the documents.
  • How much do you charge for mobile notary and/or loan closing services?
    General notarial (auto titles, bill of sales, power-of-attorney, trusts, etc.) and/or loan closing (purchase/sell of real property, HELOCs, refinances, SBA construction loans, etc.) fees are assessed according to your individualized request and includes a mileage fee.
